Milked Peanut Donuts

Milked Peanut Donuts

Ingredients

Prep Time: 20 min.

Cook Time: 10 min.

Serves: 6

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup whole wheat flour
  • 3 Tbs brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • dash nutmeg
  • ½ cup Elhurst Milked Peanuts
  • 2 Tbs honey or agave
  • 3 Tbs butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Peanut Glaze:

  • 2 Tbsp powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp powdered peanut butter
  • 2 tsp Elmhurst Milked Peanuts
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • (optional) salted peanuts, finely chopped

Instructions

For Donuts

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Mix dry ingredients, flours through nutmeg in a large bowl. In a separate small bowl, mix together Milked Peanuts through vanilla extract. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix just until completely combined. Evenly divide into wells of donut pan and bake for 7-9 minutes or until cooked through. Remove from pan to cool slightly, add glaze while donuts are still warm.

For Peanut Glaze

Mix all ingredients together until completely smooth, then drizzle about 1 teaspoon over each donut. Top with peanuts.
